Info from Licensor: "Bioluminescence caused by the unusually rare sized red tide algae bloom off of Los Angeles beaches has many people flocking to the coast to capture a glimpse of this blue magical event. Closed beaches has made it difficult to get a good spot to see the spectacle. The algae turns blue when disturbed and rapidly tossed about. It is a defense mechanism used by the algae to confuse predators. This is the largest bloom this area has seen in years. One of the best ways to experience the incredible phenomenon is by boat. You can see the water glow blue from these jet skis in this video."
