Info from Licensor: "The video was taken on an island off Tasmania's east coast called Maria Island in a bay called Chinamans Bay. Myself and three friends were about to go recreational diving for scallops when I saw the whales. I kept my distance from them so as not to disturb their space. I thought if I turned off my motor they might approach us and that's what they did. It's a memory that I will never forget. After I took the video the southern right whales swam to deeper water heading south to Marion Bay. It was 1 pm when all this happened. The boat, built by Edencraft, is named NoRush."
