Info from Licensor: "I planned to do it earlier in the parade, but didn’t work out. Therefore myself, two other firefighters, and Sparky the dog had to break away from the parade and run through downtown laurel with everyone looking at us funny, wondering what we’re doing. So after a half-mile sprint in full gear, we got in front of them then I proposed. You can tell that I’m breathing heavily when I got down on one knee."
