Info from Licensor: This was filmed in Minnesota. He’s ran down geese before and I thought how cool would it be to get that from his POV. His name is Ace, he’s a purebred yellow lab and my best friend. I shared this to my state's waterfowl Fb page and it was a pretty big hit there. So figured I’d try to share this with other people and waterfowlers out there who enjoy watching this type of thing. Enjoy! Most of the time with retrievers you want them to come back to hand after they pick a bird up. This is one of those times where “the right way to do it” wasn’t the right way. I saw a chance for the footage I’ve wanted and yelled to my brother who was out there about to shoot the live goose. I told him “send Ace!” so he told ace to drop the bird in his mouth and “snatch” the live one. Ace listened so well, very proud of him and I did all the training myself.
