The first struggle of us getting married was that her grandparents who basically raised her found out she was marrying me and they completely cut her and me out of her life because we are gay. But we, fortunately, do have the support of her other family members and my big family. Then Covid happened and we were worried we couldn’t have the wedding of our dreams with everyone we love. But fortunately we were able to still have a smaller ceremony with most of our loved ones present. My best friend bought me a bottle of champagne to celebrate with while we were getting ready and you know the rest of the story! Haha. Ashley and I are so blessed to have the love and support from so many friends and family and we are lucky to have each other. Our love is real. And I know that is very rare to find.
