Info from Licensor: Martha is a 9 yr old rescue boxer we've had for about 5 years. We foster cleft palate puppies when needed. Drove 13 hours round trip to get this little 2 day old boy from a breeder and Martha's mothering instincts kicked in immediately (and for the first time). She cleaned him, tried to nurse him, etc. Unfortunately, cleft puppies are unable to nurse because they can't suck. Because the baby was with the breeder for the first 2 days of his life, he didn't get enough milk. He was only with us for about 24 hours before passing but he received so much love in that time!
