Info from Licensor: "These trained behaviors may seem silly but learning them is very mentally stimulating! Normally otters must spend at least 1/3 of their lives just foraging for food to try to survive, but life is much easier for our 8 rescued otters. So we train them fun behaviors to help keep their brains and bodies active! This is also a version of sea otter natural behavior, as they will hammer clams onto rocks using similar motions!"
