Info from Licensor: We were at Giraffe Ranch in Dade City, Florida. Feeding otters was an add-on to our tour. We were shocked at how cute they are and how much personality they have! They were “begging” and it really sounds like one of them says “thank you.” I would also like to add a disclaimer that these otters are not starving or mistreated in any way. I spoke in-depth with the owner who educated me. Giraffe Ranch is a conservation project where they take in animals who are endangered or protected or who otherwise do not survive in the wild. They don’t do it for fun or to exploit the animals. They limit visitors by minimal reservations per day and they do NOT allow entry without a reservation.
