Info from Licensor: "We watched her laboriously haul herself up the tree to hidey-hole: possums generally have a bunch of them in the area where they live. As we talked, we saw she was having some trouble. Apparently she was smaller the last time she’d visited. We ran outside to help her, knowing how beneficial possums are to have around, and I grabbed the first thing I saw to give her leverage, a squeegee on a broom handle. For a bit it was touch and go, and I wasn’t sure all the babies would make it through the tiny, poison oak covered hole. But even though they got (obviously) seriously squished, the leverage gave her the help she needed. A check in the tree an hour later showed that she had successfully extricated herself, leaving no sign she had been there at all!"
