Upon further investigation, we discovered that she had babies in her pouch. We had to act fast to save the opossum babies, so I put on a pair of gloves to handle them and my wife had to cut them free as they had been sucking on a dry nipple for an unknown amount of time. It was a very traumatic experience but all 6 babies ended up living and making it till we dropped them off with a w ildlife rehab and rescue facility."
