Occurred on June 22, 2022 / Skukuza, Kruger National Park, South Africa
Info from Licensor: During a self-drive Safari in the Kruger National Park, South Africa, my wife and I were driving towards the main amp, Skukuza. We noticed something in the road ahead and slowed down. I was this huge Giraffe male coming towards us. We pulled to the side of the road and he just kept walking right past us still chewing something. We have seen many giraffes during our visit but this one was very special. One doesn't realize how tall they really are until one walks right past you. It is amazing to notice the way they walk. Giraffes move both feet on one side of their body in unison, followed by both feet on the other side. This looks kind of funny for a huge animal like that. This was really a great experience being this close.
