Info from Licensor: "I was driving on California HWY 14 past Mojave and, in an area usually looking like desert, there was a patch of vivid color high in the hills. I pulled off the road to take a few photos. The pics received attention in a suitable Facebook group and one commentor mentioned that there was probably an off-highway vehicle path that lead to the field of flowers. After studying the Google Maps satellite view, I decided to venture up the hillside on my return trip. The 4-mile, 15-minute drive on dirt and rocks was rewarded with a close-up of the magnificent field of dazzling flowers."
