Info from Licensor: "‘Earl the squirrel’ was found as a baby after our neighbor cut down the tree Earl and his mom were living in. (They were unaware of the nest.) Mom ran away, so we raised Earl in a small cage, trying not to handle him much and only feeding him things his Mom would feed him, in hopes it would help him adjust to the wild when it was time to set him free. We felt sure he would run away with the other squirrels as soon as he was set free but to our surprise, he stayed in the trees around our grandsons' swing set for a couple of months and when our grandsons would go out to play, Earl would come down out of the trees (like this) and play with them. After a couple of months of enjoying playtime with our grandsons, Earl met a special girl squirrel and eventually disappeared into the woods."
