Info from Licensor: I ordered doordash from Denny’s. It had been dropped off about 3 minutes prior, but I heard my dogs still barking, so I went and opened the door and this possum was literally just sitting on my front steps trying to carry away my entire box of pancakes! I had ordered Domino's earlier this week and found the box chewed apart and half the pizza eaten when I went to grab it, but wasn’t sure what had eaten it. So I wasn’t completely shocked to see him, but I was shocked that when I opened the door, he didn’t startle and run away! I wasn’t really sure what to do from there. He was so cute. I didn’t want to be mean, but I wasn’t sure if he’d bite me if I tried to grab the bag, so I just started trying to have a reasonable conversation with him for some reason. He sort of looked at me a little, but just continued to try to carry my pancakes away. I tried tossing some dog treats for him to eat (not pictured in the video) which he did, but ran quickly back for the pancakes! After probably 10 minutes, he just randomly gave up and walked away, so I grabbed my food. When I took the rest of the food out of the bag, I put the pancakes back outside for him to have because he made a hole in the box already anyway and obviously was hungry. He was gone at this point but must’ve come back in the middle of the night because the entirety of the pancakes were eaten the next morning. I have lived in this house for over two years and never had this happen until this week!
