Occurred on December 29, 2021 / Masai Mara, Kenya
Info from Licensor: "Filmed in the Masai Mara National Park (Kenya) on 29th December 2021.
A Black Necked Spitting Cobra approached and scared off a family of lions, potentially defending its territory or nest. Despite being the so-called 'kings of the jungle', the lions (including the father) seem to be instinctively scared of the deadly snake. This is an incredibly rare sighting - the Masai guides who have spent their entire lives in the region had never seen or heard of such an event.
I'm with my family in the open top ATV. I get worried when the father lion is scared by the snake just metres away, fearing the lion might accidentally jump up into the ATV, saying 'let's leave now' a couple of times. But the Masai aren't scared and want to stay to witness this rare event.
At least 10% of royalties I personally receive will be donated to a biodiversity conservation or protection initiative (or individual practitioners) in the Masai Mara region."
