Info from Licensor: "February 4th, GJFD firefighters from Station 3 responded to a frozen pond in a residential neighborhood after reports of a dog trapped in the ice. One firefighter donned a dry suit and made their way onto the ice, assisting the pup—believed to be named Cupcake—out of the freezing water. Luckily, Cupcake could climb to safety and be reunited with their owners, unharmed! This rescue came just days after crews completed their required Ice Rescue Training, the successful response demonstrated the value of our ongoing training efforts and the department’s commitment to public safety.
