Occurred on May 12, 2018 / Renton, Washington, USA Info from Licensor: "My 68-year-old mother and I went to Safeway. I didn't even notice or realize that someone had purposely blocked us in until it was time to leave. We honked once so they could move, he didn't move, so we honked again and he didn't move. I had to get out of the car and ask him to move, but he was refusing to leave. When I approached him to move, he told me I was not supposed to be parked there anyway. I told him to please move his car. He then yelled at me, 'go back to Mexico' This isn't the first or second time this has happened to me in the last year, and I've had enough. I told myself that if it happened to me again, I was gonna document it and do something about it. I got in the car and told my mom to follow him so we could take a picture of his license plate number. As soon as we followed him, he slammed on his breaks super hard and my mom almost hit him, which I believe is what he wanted. Then he started driving very erratically so we could not get the license plate number. We lost him somehow. The next thing I know, he pulled up right next to my window with the biggest can of mace I've seen in my life. He told me he was going spray me! I quickly rolled up the window as we sped off. I immediately called the police and told them everything. The dispatcher kept asking where he was so the cops knew where to go when they got there. We were driving around the parking lot so we could keep tabs on him from afar, as I did not want him getting away with this, but we could not find him. Then again out of nowhere he pulls up right next to our car, but this time on my mom's side. He had the can of mace in his hand already, and stuck it out of the window towards her, he was so close that it was basically was in the car and practically in her face. I told my mom to roll up the window as we sped off. We parked and waited for the police. I started filming when the police came because obviously I was staying far away from him. The cop talked to him then talked to us. I told him that he needed to be taught a lesson. He asked if I wanted to press charges and I said, 'of course!' He said I could press charges for assault. He then went and talked to him. He came back and told me that if I were to press charges that they would most likely get dropped because we followed him. He also told me that he had a gun in his car, and that if someone had followed him, he would have pulled his gun out on them, but that this person didn't need to because he didn't feel threatened. I knew at that point there were not going to do anything to help us. I also found out what the guy had was bear mace. I wrote a statement and filed a formal complaint. The man also kept saying he was gonna call ICE, and that ICE was going to deal with me. I told him I'd gladly call. I was born in Chicago Illinois, and moved to Washington when I was four and have lived here my whole life."
