Info from Licensor: "I was sitting alone in a treestand overlooking a bait site when a curious young bear approached. He had just stashed some meat about 50 feet away and stood up to rub his back on a tree. Just as I started filming, he dropped and came directly over to the base of the ladder into my treestand. He paused for a moment then began climbing the ladder. Looking back on the video, it's clear that this bear was just curious and very likely did not intend to harm me in any way. But for an inexperienced bear hunter, miles away from the nearest human, this was very nerve-racking at the time. I spoke to the bear, telling it to get down, and stomped my foot (almost knocking my camera out of the treestand). This did nothing to deter the bear and after a brief pause, he again began climbing the ladder. Again I told him to get down, but he was not fazed by this at all. Finally I smacked the top of the ladder with a seat cushion and the bear ran off. It was a very neat experience seeing bears up close like this."
