Info from Licensor: "I went to document in the small isolated island south of Port Lincoln, the highly endangered and endemic species of South Australian Sea Lions. It is believed there are only around 12,000 left. Their habitat is at risk and they have a complex and more spread-out breeding time. They do not run a normal colony style like other sea lions. I encountered an amazing animal, playful, curious sometimes cheeky. This female wasn't really resting, she was playing with me for a long time, trying to attract me. She even played hide and seek once. Sometimes as a diver, we can get distracted with such wonderful animals and if we follow them we might end up very far from shore and under severe currents. The footage shows an amazing animal that clearly deserves our understanding and protection."
