Tiger Swallowtail Eating

Occurred on July 12, 2017 / Toronto, Ontario, Canada Info from Licensor: "I am a passionate advocate for monarch butterfly conservation. Recently, I branched out into raising other caterpillars, and this video is based on my first Tiger Swallowtail. I watched the huge yellow butterfly lay the egg in my backyard, on the tulip tree which I planted for that very purpose. At any given time, I could be raising 10 different kinds of lepidoptera on my dining room table. Mesmerized by their behaviour, I check them frequently. The end result is that no predators ate the caterpillar, and it became a chrysalis. It will likely stay in my garage all winter, along with various moth cocoons, and emerge in the Spring. I will set it free very soon after it is born."
