Seal Snorkeling on Isles of Scilly

Occurred on June 18, 2017 / Isles of Scilly, UK

Info from Licensor: "This adorable seal came to say hello as we were snorkeling off the coast of an uninhabited island of the Isles of Scilly in England last week.

Although it might look like he's being aggressive with the bite, this cheeky chap just wanted to play. Seals use their mouths and whiskers to judge size, shape and texture - so he was just sizing us up.

He started to nibble our fins and and snorkelling masks but it was when he started to lay on top of us that we realised he was trying to tell us something - he wanted was a little tummy rub. He loved it!

He stayed and played with us for a good five minutes. It was such a special moment and given he was a full-grown male seal (these guys aren't usually very playful and generally avoid human interaction), he was in a particularly boisterous and fun mood.

It was such a rare and special moment - a memory to cherish forever."
