Info from Licensor: "It was approximately 2:30 pm and I was leaving a market when I noticed a commotion involving two people near a car with a dog locked inside. The temperature outside was 113 degrees that day. Upon examining the car and seeing the dog inside, I promptly reached through a small opening in the driver's side window, unlocked the car door, and I grabbed the dog and took her into my arms. The car engine was not on, nor any air conditioner. I, along with the other two people, brought the dog into the Whole Foods store, and immediately called the police. The police arrived after 15 minutes and we all waited until the car owner exited the store. A woman approached the car after nearly one hour had passed since the dog rescue. The police officer approached her for questioning and she was promptly arrested after a brief interlude with the officer. Before the woman appeared, animal control officers arrived, measured the inside temperature of the car, and took the dog into protective custody."
