Driver Hits Power Pole and Flees the Scene with Girlfriend

Info from Licensor: Guy hits a phone pole and totals his car around 1 am. He removes the license plate from the car. His girlfriend comes asks us not to call the police. The driver says he just got his permit. We go inside to call the police and they clear out the car and take off. Police find the registration in the car. The driver returns an hour later after the police leave and searches the area for something. His girlfriend returns later in the day and searches the area for something.
