Info from Licensor: "Phaenopharos khaoyaiensis, a stick insect species native to Thailand, shows its small red wings which serve as a defense mechanism. Red is a common warning color in nature and tells predators that the animal is toxic and inedible, although in this case it isn’t. It’s just trying to protect itself and avoid being eaten."
